Cupid's Shuffle: The new Electric Slide
I went to a dance club last night and everyone was doing this strange dance that I've never done before. I don't know if I've been living under a rock for the past year, but I had never heard of the Cupid Shuffle until last night (I've spent the last year watching PBS and drinking Jolt cola, thank you very much). The only way I can describe it is that it's like the bastard child of the Cha-Cha and Electric Slides. It's fairly easy, too (the Slides family apparently raises sluts).
Isn't it great when you can live in a country where a song will instruct you on what dance moves to use? It's really one of those freedoms we all take for granted. I wonder how many songs are released in a decade that try to create a new dance fad. This clearly isn't a song you just listen to in your downtime. There's no need to analyze the lyrics (What do you think he means when he sings, 'to the right, to the right'?) It's one and only purpose is to unite people together in the ways of hot, sweaty, night club dancing. Or wedding receptions.
